Pekan Olahraga dan Seni Tradisional antar Pondok Pesantren

dalamUntuk peningkatan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) dan pencarian bibit unggul olahragawan di Kabupaten Cirebon, Selasa (13/05/2014) berlangsung pembukaan pekan olahraga dan seni Pondok Pesantren serta olahraga tradisional antar Sekolah Dasar tinggkat Kabupaten Cirebpon yang bertempat di GOR Rangggajati Sumber.

Pondok pesantren merupakan salah satu wadah pembinaan dan pembekalan berbagai disiplin ilmu yang dewasa ini sudah disetarakan dengan pendidikan umum seperti SD, SMP, SLTA dan lainnya. Dengan diselenggarakannya pekan olahraga dan seni pondok pesantren maka kesenjangan antara pendidikan umum dan pondok pesantren dapat terhapus. Hal itu disampaikan panitia pelaksana dari Disbudparpora Kabupaten Cirebon Iskandar  Dinata.

 Selanjutnya kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 300 peserta yang akan bertanding dicabang atletik, tenis meja, bulu tangkis dan olahraga tradisional seperti terompak panjang, egrang, gobag sodor daan yang lainnya.

Bupati Cirebon yang diwakili oleh Staf Ahli Bupati Bagian Kesra dan Pembangunan Drs. Harri Safari Margapradja, MM menyampaikan bahwa pesta olahraga dan seni pondok pesantren akan berlangsung selama dua hari, dimana para peserta akan bertanding secara sportif dan mempertahankan bendera yang disandangnya. Diharapkan dengan disetarakannya pendidikan di Pondok Pesantren dan pendidikan umum maka pendidikan di Kabupaten Cirebon tidak lagi ada kesenjangan, sehingga akan muncul olahragawan-olahragawan yang tangguh yang akan mengangkat nama baik Kabupaten Cirebon

Kegiatan tersebut diikuti oleh kepala Dinas terkait,  peserta, official dan pengurus olahraga dari Kecamatan masing masing.
