dalemDi era abad ke- 15 Masehi bumi Cirebon pada waktu itu mengalami babak baru dengan datangnya Putra Pajajaran Pangeran Walangsunsang yang Bergelar Pangeran Cakrabuana sosok  yang memiliki   Figur yang sangat bijaksana yang begitu luwes yang dapat mengintregrasikan berbagai budaya menjadi satu budayah yang utuh. Pangeran Cakrabuana telah mewariskan tradisi budaya dan sejarah yang tidak ternilai harganya.

 Dari salah satu nama leluhur ini yang sekarang namanya diabadikan untuk museum yang ada di Kabupaten Cirebon yang peresmiannya dilangsungkan bertepatan dengan hari jadi Kabupaten Cirebon yang ke-532 tahun, tepatnya pada tanggal 2/4/2014 secara resmi di buka oleh Bapak Bupati Cirebon Drs.H.Sunjaya Purwadi S.MM.MSI. yang disaksikan oleh Bapak Wakil Bupati Cirebon Bapak Tasya Soemadi, dan juga dihadiri skretaris Daerah Bapak Dudung Mulyana, serta beberapa Kepala Dinas dan para tamu undangan,

              Acara yang diawali dengan sambutan dari Kepala Dinas  Kebudayan Pariwisata Pemuda dan Olahraga Bapak H Asdulah, mengajak kepada seluruh elemen masyarakat untuk meningkatkan  kesadaran akan pentingnya sejarah untuk di pelajari sebagai kearifan di masa lalu,yang dapat menjadi inpirasi dimasa kini dan masa yang akan datang, dan juga mengucapkan terimaksaih pada semua pihak yang telah menyumbangkan barang- barang sejarah untuk melengkapi koleksi museum Pangeran Cakrabuana.

 Dalam penyampaian sambutannya Bapak Bupati menyampaikan beberapa harapan dan  mengajak pada generasi muda terutama para pelajar untuk dapat melestarikan dan mengaktualisasikan nilai-nilai budaya kita. Dan berharap pada masyarakat bahwa janganlah kehidupan kita ini dilihat dari satu atau dua dimensi saja. kalau kita memaknai kehidupan ini  sebagai sesuatu yang benar atau salah maka kita menggunakan dimensi logika, meskipun penting untuk membangun sebuah daerah yang moderen. Kalau kita hanya melihat sesuatu hanya dari segi baik atau buruk itu juga penting dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat, maka kita memasuki wilayah satu etika satu dimensi yang sering kita lupakan, yang membuat kehidupan kita serasa lengkap adalah persoalan tentang keindahan yang kita sebut dengan estetika, bagi kita pribadi dengan keyakinan yang kuat  hidup kita akan semakin bermakna, semakin harmonis, semakin tentram, dan keindahan apabila ketiga unsur tersebut kita hadirkan yaitu logika, etika dan estetika, dengan dibukanya museum Pangeran Cakrabuana, semoga dapat meningkatkan harkat dan martabat masyarakat  Kabupaten Cirebon.
