Sebagai wujud nyata pembangunan di bidang politik telah dibuktikan dengan pelaksanaan Pilkadasung pada tanggal 6 Oktober 2013. KPUD Kabupaten Cirebon melalui rapat pleno pada Sabtu,12 Oktober 2013 telah mengumumkan secara resmi hasil perhitungan suara secara manualisasi dengan hasil sebagai berikut :
Pasangan No. 1 mendapatkan suara 9,42 % atau 88.769 suara
Pasangan No. 2 mendapatkan suara 27,89 % atau 239.848 suara
Pasangan No. 3 mendapatkan suara 18,45 % atau 158.168 suara
Pasangan No. 4 mendapatkan suara 14,35 % atau 123.003 suara
Pasangan No. 5 mendapatkan suara 9,65 % atau 82.719 suara
Pasangan No. 6 mendapatkan suara 20,24 % atau 173.519 suara
Pelaksanaan perhitungan suara tersebut dihadiri oleh Panwaslu Kabupaten beserta Panwaslucam, anggota KPUD, saksi dari 6 peserta Pilkadasung, dan sejumlah partisipan dari keenam pasangan peserta Pilkadasung.
Ketua KPUD Kabupaten Cirebon Drs. Iding Wahidin M.Pd, mengatakan sesuai dengan dokumen yang ada di KPUD Kabupaten Cirebon dan telah dihitung secara manualisasi serta disaksikan oleh saksi bahwa hasil Pilkadasung putaran pertama belum mencapai kuorum sehingga perlu diadakan Pilbup putaran kedua untuk mencapai kuorum yang dibutuhkan serta mengucapkan terima kasih kepada semua pihak yang telah membantu kelancaran Pilkadasung sehingga pelaksanaan Pilkadasung dapat berjalan sebagaimana mestinya. Secara fakta dari hasil suara yang didapat maka pasangan nomor 2 dan nomor 6 yang akan maju ke putaran kedua.
Kegiatan tersebut diakhiri dengan pembacaan doa bersama.
