Bertindak sebagai pembina upacara Penjabat Bupati Cirebon Drs. H. Daud Achmad dan dihadiri oleh unsur Muspida, Kepala Disnakertrans Kab. Cirebon, Direktur PT. Jasa Marga, Anggota Dewan, dan undangan lainnya serta diikuti karyawan/karyawati PT. Jasa marga, dan perwakilan tenaga kerja perushaan lainnya di Kabupaten Cirebon.
Dalam sambutan Menteri Tenaga Kerja dan Transmigrasi Republik Indonesia yang dibacakan H. Daud menyampaikan bahwa peringatan hari K3 pada tanggal 12 Januari 2014 merupakan tahun kelima Bangsa Indonesia untuk berjuang, berperan aktif, dan bekerja secara kolektif dalam pencapaian K3 nasional, yaitu Berbudaya K3 Tahun 2015.
Dalam upaya pencapaian visi K3 nasional tersebut telah banyak keberhasilan yang kita capai, antara lain: semakin meningkatnya jumlah tenaga pengawas ketenagakerjaan yang tersebar di wilayah Republik Indonesia, meningkatnya peran serta masyarakat dalam upaya pembinaan K3, meningkatnya perusahaan yang menerapkan Sistem Menajemen Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (SMK3), meningkatnya asosiasi-asosiasi profesi K3 dan perguruan tinggi yang memiliki program K3 dan menjadi tuan rumah pelaksanaan Asia Pacific Occupational ke 28 bersamaan dengan acara tahunan K3 expo.
Peringatan K3 Nasional yang dilanjutkan dengan Bulan K3 Nasional tahun ini mengambil tema “Wujudkan Budaya K3 untuk Menjamin Stabilitas Usaha Dalam Mendukung Pertumbuhan Ekonomi Nasional”. Tema tersebut sekaligus menjadi tema akhir dalam mencapai visi K3 yang tertuang dalam Keputusan Menteri Tenaga Kerja dan Transmigrasi dengan nomor Kep. 372/Men/XI/2009 tentang Petunjuk Pelaksanaan Bulan K3 Nasional tahun 2010 – 2014.

Daud mengharapkan semua potensi bangsa baik organisasi profesi, asosiasi, perguruan tinggi, lembaga-lembaga K3 dan pemerintah berkonsentrasi penuh, kerja lebih baik dan bermanfaat mengarah pada satu tujuan, yaitu menciptakan setiap individu bangsa Indonesia yang berperilaku dan bertindak aman dalam setiap aktivitasnya.
Usai sambutan Penjabat Bupati Cirebon memberikan piagam penghargaan kepada perusahaan dengan angka keselamatan tertinggi diantaranya PT. Jasa Marga, Indocement Perkasa dan RS. Pertamina Cirebon, PT. Astra Internasional TBK Cirebon dilanjutkan dengan pemberian santunan kepada keluarga yang terkena kecelakaan.
